Craps - UNDERSTANDING THE ODDS
Knowing how to figure the possible
combinations that can ocur when two dice are thrown is essential
to understanding the basics of craps - the bets, the odds,
and the payoffs. You'll be surprised at how simple the odds
really are, and will find craps to be a more rewarding experience
once you learn these fundamentals.
Each dice has six equal possible
outcomes when thrown - numbers one through six. The two
dice thrown together have a total of 36 possible outcomes,
the six combinations of one dice by the six combination
of the other. The chart below shows these combinations.
Notice how certain totals have more possibilities of being
thrown, or are more probable of occuring by random throw
of the two dice.
